The Town of Ajax is one of seven municipalities that make up the Regional Municipality of Durham. The Town actively partners and collaborates with Durham Tourism on projects and initiatives that promote the vast attractions and activities that are offered across the Region.

(Regional Tourism Organization Zone 6)

Regional Tourism Organization Zone 6 (RTO6) is a not-for-profit, industry-led, collaboratively managed organization with a goal to support and grow tourism in the Zone 6 region through the provision of strategic leadership and through active, effective partnerships with government and key stakeholders.

The region of RTO6 is comprised of York Region, Durham Region and The Hills of Headwaters.

The Town is an active supporter of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade (APBOT), a not-for-profit organization who's purpose is to foster free enterprise and economic development. The APBOT provides a number of services and events to support local business in Ajax and Pickering.
